ettain group has an immediate opening for a contract Java Developer in the Raleigh, NC area.

Our client is looking to bring on a mid-level java developer to support their existing java applications. In this role, you will initially be supporting the senior java developers in development, application builds, technology research, and enhancing/maintaining existing software. You will be of a part of a team providing 24 by 7 production system support to ensure the client's operations function smoothly. As time goes on, you will be asked to undertake development projects on your own.

This is a 6 month initial contract with the chance of contract/permanent extension.

You must be able to work onsite in the client's location in Raleigh, NC. You must be able to become a full-time employee without requiring sponsorship or a visa transfer.

Required Skills:

• 2-4 years of JAVA and J2EE development experience and must have relevant exposure to all of the below:
• -JSP
• -TomCat
• -Websphere
• -RAD or Eclipse
• -HTML/XML
• Strong experience in the SQL language. Any development experience is preferred.
• Strong DB2 or SQL Server exposure/experience
• Must be able to handle several projects going on simultaneously

Preferred skills:

• Any exposure to Shell Scripting
• Strong mainframe exposure/experience
• Experience with MQ
• Banking experience is highly preferred
