This position will perform in a technical leadership role for the eProcurement (ePROC) Service including the day-to-day maintenance, support and operations activities relating to this service. Responsibilities include: Perform technical design, development, testing and support duties as well as provide work direction to other technical staff members as needed. Provide day-to-day 24x7 technical support and expertise. Develops and maintains detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates and status reports. Manage all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for assigned technical work duties including applications development, maintenance, quality assurance, change management and release management. Participate and contribute to development and maintenance of the overall logical and physical platform design, configuration, and architecture for the ePROC service domain including security and disaster recovery plans. Perform in a vendor relationship management role for selected suppliers that provide technology and/or services in support of the ePROC Service.

Requirements
Experience in information systems application development with a demonstrated concentration of experience in application software development and support. Other relevant experience would include: Experience providing technical direction to other application developers. Experience designing, building, maintaining and supporting mission critical web applications. Experience managing all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including applications development, quality assurance and release management. Hands-on technical experience using the following tools, technology platforms, and/or software products is required: JAVA/J2EE, JSP, JMS, XML, and Eclipse. Hands-on technical experience using the following tools, techniques, technology platforms, and/or software products is desired: Ariba Buyer eProcurement software, Spring, OOA&D, OOP, Bugzilla, Unix Shell scripting, Oracle Weblogic, Oracle RDBMS, ATG Dynamo, Apache, Solaris 9/10, Red Hat Linux, and VMWare; ITIL Foundation Version 3 and any Practitioner level certifications is desired.

Graduation from a four-year college or university with nine semester hours in programming and three years of experience in business applications consulting or development. Experience in the field of work related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for- year basis. ITS has a Career Banded compensation plan which encourages and rewards competency development. Recruitment for the position will target the Advance level of the Business and Technology Application Specialist Band. An additional year and a half of progressively related experience is required for each level above Contributing. Salary range for this position is $75,789 - $109,305 and will be commensurate with the applicant s competencies, as well as budget, equity and market considerations. For purposes of State Promotional Priority, this vacancy posting will be treated as a salary grade Journey 81 and Advance 83. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
