Requirements:
Passion for website usability and intuitive, delightful user experiences
Ability to write clean code that works, is readable, maintainable and follows best practices and coding standards on schedule.
Fluency in a variety of languages such as C/C++, Java, Ruby, Perl, Python
Ability to lead the design of complex distributed architectures and serve as a role model to senior engineers on the team.
Solid understanding of OO design, languages, algorithms, data structures, networking, database design & optimization.
Proven ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies as necessary.
Extensive experience working with a web development framework (Django, Rails, .NET, Catalyst, JSP, etc).
Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
Familiarity with Webserver/service technologies, including Apache, JSON, SOAP, and REST.
Experience with agile development processes and scrum in particular.
8+ years experience in software development with 3 or more in management.
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Bonus Points
Extensive database development experience and SQL proficiency.
Experience working in an Open Source internet platforms.
