This is an opportunity to join a Compuware Product Development team in an in-house, permanent position.
Primary Roles/Responsibilities:
Plan the implementation of new products and enhancements as reflected by the architectural prototype.
Participate in prototype reviews, offering insight regarding feasibility.
Develop initial sizing estimate based on marketing requirements.
Create general system design.
Create technical specifications, clearly defining the programming effort required for new and changed programs, and interfaces to existing products.
Provide estimates for the programming effort defined in the technical specifications.
Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them.
Develop code that matches the prototype and specification, is maintainable and, as necessary, portable to other environments.
Interact with Quality Assurance to understand testing results and reports.
Perform problem determination for production release and create source code changes to provide solutions.
Complete implementation within time estimates.
Required Skills/Competencies:
5+ years experience with Java, web based middleware, XML, Object Oriented design and Oracle Database development experience.
Experience with developing large Java based applications (preferably with emphasis on Java Servlets and Java Server Pages).
Web based and OO application architecture design experience.
Application development leadership experience.
Unix Solaris or Linux experience.
Strong bias for action.
Ability to work in a very dynamic, flexible and creative environment.
Strong Oracle and SQL background
Experience with Spring Framework.
Experience developing web services using J2EE technologies.
Local candidates given first priority
Desired Skills/Competencies:
Previous eCommerce web based product development experience.
Web Application Security background.
Understanding of SAML, WS-Federation..
Web Single Sign-on experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience using RSAs Access Manager (ClearTrust) product.
Healthcare industry experience highly preferred.
Experience with Portlets and Liferay Portal Server.
Experience with Resin and/or other J2EE application servers
