We are currently staffing a Java Programming - temp to perm position for a client of ours in the publishing industry. Here is the position description:

Contract to hire. This is not just a coding position. Someone who can work with many departments such as QA, Server Engineering, DBA's, System Administrator, Web Design and high-level customers. Must be an effective communicator and team player, as this position requires working with many departments, must be organized, must be a self-starter and a problem solver.
Java required 4 years or more: MVC pattern JSPs JSTL JavaScript Java 1.5 experience required. Full project lifecycle required from planning/design to development on Tomcat platform to unit testing to working with a tester to implementing in production. Heavy Apache and Tomcat experience required, especially Tomcat 5.5 to be able to configure and troubleshoot system admin issues with clustered servers and load balancing. Unix experience (HPUX and Linux) required. Oracle experienced SQL writer, at least four years Heavy experience with writing Ant scripts Weblogic 8.1 experience required for converting applications from Weblogic to Tomcat platform Perl, .NET, MSSQL experience needed for application maintenance and support.
Grails, Flex, Weblogic 10 experience is a plus and puts this candidate ahead of others
