Three to five years experience with the following is required:
Working with business and technical users to develop application requirements
Coding, testing, designing distributed applications using the techniques of Object Oriented Design, J2EE architecture and design patterns
J2EE technologies including Struts 1.0/1.1, Spring Framework, AJAX, Web Services, JDBC 2.0, JNDI, JMS, Hibernate, Servlet, JSP, XML/XSL/XSLT/XSD
Developing applications that leverages and integrates with Active Directory, SunOne Directory Server, or other standard LDAP
Exposure to mainstream application and web servers such as WebSphere Application Server, JBoss, Weblogic Application Server and Apache Tomcat Application Server
Exposure to standard database platforms such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 & 2005, and DB2
Exposure to the Cognos SDK is ideal. Alternatively, exposure to a leading performance management suite such as Cognos, Business Objects or Actuate is acceptable
Ability to work diplomatically with business users to gather accurate requirements
Provide hands-on data modeling / development support for a variety of assignments and have a quick grasp of new business environments
Mentor others, train / instruct end-users and help deploy applications to user communities
Demonstrate excellent spoken and written English language communications skills
Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time (home on weekends)
